Abstract

|
|
Emphysematous pyelonephritis is a rare complication of severe acute pyelonephritis and the spontaneous appearance of gas in and around renal parenchyma. It most commonly in the diabetic patient with or without ureteral obstruction.
We present one case of emphysematous pyelonephritis treated by incision and drainage in a 48 year old diabetic man.
